Creator Agreement
Terms for taking part in the creator program CreatorCodeHub for the connected Roblox games
This English text is a convenience translation. Only the German version is legally binding; if the two differ, the German wording applies. Passages marked in yellow are placeholders. The agreement is a draft and should be reviewed by a lawyer before going live.
1. Parties
This agreement applies between [PLACEHOLDER: Company name / operator], [PLACEHOLDER: Address] (“we”) and the person registered as a creator in the creator portal with their Roblox account (“creator”).
2. Subject matter
CreatorCodeHub connects Roblox games (“games”) with creators. We provide the creator with a personal creator code that works in every game the creator is a member of. Games in “open” mode accept every approved creator automatically; other games decide on requests themselves. Purchases of Developer Products and Game Passes by players attributed to the code are credited to the creator in the respective game.
2.1 Attribution of players
- A player can have only one creator code active at a time, per game.
- The attribution is valid for 7 days from the moment the code is entered. During that time no other code is possible; afterwards it expires automatically and the player may enter a code again.
- Only purchases made within those 7 days after the code was entered, and in the same game, are remunerated.
- Entries that breach this rule (a second code within the window, duplicate reported events, the creator’s own code) are discarded on arrival and are not remunerated.
3. Remuneration
- Roblox keeps 30% of the gross price of every purchase. The remainder is the net amount.
- Each game sets its own share of the net amount (at least 5%). It is shown per game in the dashboard and fixed for each purchase at the time of purchase. Amounts are rounded down to whole Robux per purchase.
- The remuneration is paid by the operator of the respective game from its Roblox group; the operator has committed to this towards us. We compute the amounts from verified purchases and show them to both sides. We do not pay remuneration ourselves and do not receive any Robux.
- Remuneration is paid exclusively in Robux via Roblox group payouts. The creator must be a member of the payout group of the respective game; Roblox may delay payouts to new members. There is no payout in money.
- Settlement is monthly per game. The payout for a month happens in the first days of the following month.
- Each game sets a minimum payout (shown in the dashboard). If the open balance is below it, it carries over; balances never expire. If the creator leaves a game or the cooperation ends, a remaining balance from 1 Robux is paid with the next settlement.
- Refunded purchases or purchases reversed by Roblox are not remunerated and may be offset against later payouts.
- The data the game reports to the portal is authoritative. The creator can report discrepancies within 30 days after the end of the month, and a missing payout within 14 days after it was marked “paid”. Games that repeatedly fail to pay are removed from the network.
4. Obligations of the creator
- The code may only be promoted in the creator’s own content. Buying, trading or passing the code on to third parties is prohibited.
- No misleading statements about the game, no promises of benefits the game does not offer.
- No artificial generation of redemptions or purchases (alt accounts, bots, incentives for purchases in exchange for something).
- Compliance with the Roblox Community Standards and the Roblox Terms of Use.
- Promotional content must be labelled according to the rules that apply (for example “Werbung” / “Ad”).
5. Term and termination
The agreement runs for an indefinite period. Either side may end it at any time, without giving reasons, with immediate effect. We may pause or deactivate the code immediately if section 4 is breached. Amounts earned up to termination and not objected to are paid with the next regular payout.
6. Taxes
The creator is responsible for the tax treatment of the Robux received in their own country.
7. Liability and availability
We do not owe any particular availability of the game or of the portal. We are not liable for outages, changes or suspensions caused by Roblox. Otherwise we are liable only for intent and gross negligence, and, in the event of a breach of material contractual obligations, limited to the foreseeable damage typical of this type of contract.
8. Changes
We may change this agreement and the share with 14 days’ notice. The change is shown in the portal. If the creator continues to use the program afterwards, the amended version applies.
9. Final provisions
German law applies. This agreement does not establish any connection to Roblox Corporation; Roblox is not a party to it.
