Terms for games
Use of CreatorCodeHub by operators of Roblox games
This English text is a convenience translation; only the German version is binding. Passages marked in yellow are placeholders. Draft, to be reviewed by a lawyer before paid launch.
1. Parties
These terms apply between [PLACEHOLDER: Company name / operator], [PLACEHOLDER: Address] (“we”) and the person who connected a game in the portal or is on its team (“game operator”).
2. Service
- We provide a game module, the portal and the APIs that attribute player purchases to a creator code, analyse them and prepare a monthly payout list.
- We give access to creators in the network. No specific revenue or number of creators is owed.
- We do not pay creators, do not receive Robux and do not manage group funds.
3. Duties of the game operator
- Paying creators: the game operator commits towards us and in favour of the creators to pay the amounts shown in the portal every month from its Roblox group and to mark them as paid in the portal. The operator sets the share (at least 5% of the net amount) and the minimum payout; changes only apply to future purchases.
- The module must be integrated so that only purchases actually granted are reported. Manipulating reports, prices or attributions is prohibited.
- The game operator keeps sufficient funds in the payout group and follows Roblox’ rules, in particular on advertising, rewards and privacy.
- Rewards for entering a code must comply with Roblox’ rules and must not depend on purchases.
- Keys (live and sandbox) must be kept secret. If misuse is suspected, rotate the key in the portal.
4. Attribution
A player can activate one creator code per game for 7 days. Verified purchases of Developer Products and Game Passes within that period are subject to remuneration. The game operator can void refunded or reversed purchases in the portal.
5. Prices and payment
- The plans on the pricing page apply. The basis is attributed revenue per calendar month.
- Payments run through a payment provider acting as merchant of record: [PLACEHOLDER: Paddle / fallback]. Payment in Robux is excluded.
- Above a plan’s limit, attribution and credits keep running. After two months in a row above the limit we may pause automatic joins of new creators and remove the game from the game list until a suitable plan is booked.
- Use is free during the beta. Founding partners get the conditions shown in the portal.
6. Data and processing
- The module never sends Roblox user ids or names, only random references per player and game, codes, timestamps and product data.
- Insofar as this data is personal data, we process it on behalf of the game operator. The data processing agreement applies: [PLACEHOLDER: DPA (annex)].
- We delete raw data after 13 months; totals for settlement and tax are kept as long as legally required.
7. Availability and liability
No specific availability is owed. If the portal is down, the game keeps running normally and events are sent later. We are not liable for outages, changes or bans by Roblox. Otherwise we are only liable for intent and gross negligence and, for breaches of essential contractual duties, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this contract.
8. Term and termination
The contract runs indefinitely and can be cancelled monthly, free plans at any time. If clause 3 is breached, in particular by repeatedly missing creator payouts, we may block the game. Creator claims that arose before termination remain.
9. Final provisions
German law applies. Roblox Corporation is not a party; CreatorCodeHub is not an offer of Roblox.
